VERBUM

Me vestí de palabras para tapar el alma;

busqué su abrigo, su protección,

y me acogieron.

Cuando quise darme cuenta

estaba encerrada,

entre sus barrotes sin gramática,

sin acentos, solo palabras...

I dressed in words to cover the soul; I looked for their shelter,  their protection, and I was accepted. When I realized it was locked, among their bars without grammar, without accents, just words...
